We purchased a 2008 Chevy Impala LTZ from Schumacher on 8/26/07. I would like to say that I was completely satisfied with the entire experience at Schumacher. What I would like to point out most of all is what I didn't experience, like the good old sales tactics that I found at every other dealership I went to. The pressure, the "let me go talk to my manager" B.S., the "now or never deal of the century" crap. Let me say this: I had absolutely NO intentions of purchasing a Chevy vehicle at all. I went to Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota and a few others. At Schumacher I first dealt with Chris Stacy. This guy is the most professional Sales Manager I've dealt with yet. Then he has Ann Ulrich write up the papers for me--what another professional! Two days later, at my convenience, I come in to pick up my new Trailblazer on a Saturday. I meet with another fine gentleman and come to find out he is a Schumacher himself (hey, it's Saturday...shouldn't he be at his shore house or something?). NO, he's making sure I'm satisfied--nice move! Rita shows me around the new truck and I'm on my way. Oh yeah, what really stuck out in my mind for some reason is the guy that I thought was a customer standing there with his kid. As I walk out, this gentleman sticks out his hand for me to shake and thanked me for my business. Come to find out he's another family member...awesome. I never carry on like this, however, I know how important it is to hear what kind of impression is being left on your clients. I would like to point out that I'm not in sales or related to any member of Schumacher or their staff. If I'm in the market again I know who I am going to. Maybe you should send this letter to some of these other dealers to let them know what not to do.
